Kelly Reader is a New York based Actress and Singer. Kelly was born and raised in a small town in South Jersey. Kelly started performing at a young age. In her freshman year of high school, Kelly was cast as featured dancer Lorraine Flemming in 42nd Street. This was the moment Kelly first realized she could pursue a career in theatre. Throughout her four years Kelly performed in all of the school's musicals, Anything Goes (Ensemble), West Side Story (Somewhere Soloist) and Crazy for You (Patricia Fodor/Ensemble). Kelly also performed in A Midsummer's Night Dream (Thisbe/Flute). In addition to performing in shows, Kelly was also in Chamber Choir, a member of the Dance Team and performed in several Concerts including Project Dance. Outside of the Arts Kelly was also in the Ambassadors Club and a member of the Spanish National Honors Society.
After high school Kelly moved to New York to attend Pace University as a BFA Acting Major where she met Steven McCasland who directed her in several student projects including Alice Unwrapped (Alice), Crossing Brooklyn (Kevin) and Antigone (Sentry). Kelly also performed in the mainstage production of A Christmas Carol. |
